2010 All That Skate LA starring Yu-Na Kim LOS ANGELES -– The American debut and Los Angeles premiere of the international skating spectacular 2010 All That Skate LA comes to STAPLES Center Saturday, October 2nd, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. Reigning Olympic Champion Yuna Kim, and the most decorated skater in U.S. history, Michelle Kwan, headline an all-star champion cast to propel skating beyond the edge of live performance. Here’s a look at what makes the production all that, and more…

* All Those Medals (42): Number of medals represented: 3 Olympic Golds; 2 Olympic Silvers, 3 Olympic Bronze; 11 World Championships; 7 World Medals; 12 U.S. Championships; 3 European Championships.

* All That Gold (3): 2010 Olympic Champions in Ladies, Pairs and Dance performing together as professionals for the very first time.

* All That Yuna (11): Currently ranked number one in the world, Yuna Kim broke the world record 11 times for highest points in the short and long program, as well as total score. Yuna’s highest score came during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics with a total of 228.56 points, which resulted in a gold medal. She has won 13 international competitions, including 10 Grand Prix Series, the Continental Championship, World Championship, and the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. In July 2010, she was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

* All That Michelle (43): The most decorated figure skating in US history, Kwan has an unprecedented 43 championships to her legendary career, with five World Championships, nine U.S. Championships, and two Olympic Medals. Off the ice Kwan was appointed the first U.S. Public Diplomacy Envoy in 2006 and in June of 2010 President Obama appointed her to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.

* All Those Crowds (40,000): Fans who packed the arena for this summer’s international version of All That Skate before the domestic debut in the United States.

* All Those Countries (7): From the US to Korea, Canada, China, France, Germany and Switzerland, multiple countries are represented in the skating cast.

* All That Language (6): Languages spoken backstage: English, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, and German.

* All That Glamour (18): Number of times Lie Sang Bong, renown Korean-born designer who created the stunning costumes for the group number, showed at the Paris Pret-a-Porter Collection since 2002. The designer is known around the world as the “Korean McQueen,” having been featured in numerous publications including Le Figaro, Telegraph, the New York Times, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Oyster, Standard, and W Magazine. Lie has dressed world-renowned celebrities including Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Peaches, Lindsay Lohan, and Juliette Binoche.
