
I’ll begin this piece with some sort of disclaimer: I am not and have never been a fan of Dick Gordon. In fact, I had issues against him—the WOW Philippines campaign which I found to be so, uhm, baduy to say the least; the giant Lapu-Lapu statue he had erected in Luneta; his horrible temper and propensity to curse; his seeming use of the PNRC to further his interests—but after hearing his arguments during the Congressional hearing on the declaration of Martial Law in Maguindanao and after watching him in subsequent televised forums, I was converted: the man talked sense and made sense.
