Pilipinas Got Talent hits no. 2 in Twitter trending list

ABS-CBN's nationwide talent competition show "Pilipinas Got Talent" (PGT) reached Top 2 of Twitter’s Philippine trending list during the show’s grand finals on Saturday night.

PGT was even way ahead of 2010 FIFA World Cup in Twitter.com’s topic list.

The show, which held its grand finals at the jampacked Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, hit the No. 2 spot sometime between 9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Competing for the PGT grand finals were singer Jovit Baldovino, ventriloquist Ruther Urquia, magician Allan "Alakim" De Paz, Fil-Norwegian crooner Markki Stroem, guitarist Keith Delleva, break dancing siblings Velasco Brothers, Ezra Band, balladeer Sherwin Baguion, family singers Luntayao, musician Jeline Oliva, dance group Baguio Metamorphosis, and Broadway siren Ingrid Payaket.

Early in the game, Artest and Pierce had a confrontation under the basket that led to double technical fouls but the Lakers’ defense frustrated the Celtics throughout the game. They made it hard for the opposing big men to score inside, also closed out driving lanes and made deflections.

The Lakers vs Celtics 2010 NBA Finals Game 1 is set to happen on June 3, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The 2010 Western Conference Champions, Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns in 6 games on the Lakers vs Suns 2010 West Finals to move on and defend their NBA Championship. Kobe Bryant’s scoring game was “on” as he unleashed a series of 30+ point games during the series. Paul Gasol and Lamar Odom also provided huge supports under the basket while Ron Artest’s Game 5 heroic buzzer beater affected the momentum shift drastically. Even the Shannon Brown’s best missed dunk ever wowed the fans for a while.

While the 2010 Eastern Conference Champions, Boston Celtics beat the Orlando Magic also in 6 games on the Magic vs Celtics 2010 East Finals to reach this point. The Big Four; Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and a monster Rajon Rondo carried the team throughout the playoffs.

The 2010 NBA Finals Game 1 will be played at LA’s home court.

This is the Lakers’ third straight NBA Finals appearance in the three seasons. The Celtics beat them in 2008 then LA bounced back and became the 2009 NBA Champions. Now, the LA Lakers are back once again in a rematch against Boston.

This is becoming the new Lakers vs Celtics rivalry like the classic Magic vs Bird rivalry.

On a losing effort, Celtics’ star Paul Pierce scored a team-high 24 points with 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
